- The Design View: Yoh, how and when did you first get into design?
- Yoh Nagao: I have always been influenced by many things from the US such as skateboarding, hip-pop, punk rock, street culture, t-shirts, skate deck art, posters, CD covers - anything really. All these influences started me off as a designer.
- The Design View: How you would best describe your style of work?
- Yoh Nagao: Pop and trippy, dark and edgy, fantasy world.
- The Design View: Please tell us a bit about your personal studio?
- Yoh Nagao: My studio is on the second floor of an old shop. It's a 40sq meters space that is still under construction and I am renovating it by myself. It's an own property so I can do anything what I want to it. Even after I have done so much work to it, it still needs a lot more. So when you traveling to Japan, please come visit to my studio and help with the renovation!
- The Design View: Please tell us a bit about your clothing brand:"Yogurt"?
- Yoh Nagao: Yogurt is one of my projects for printing artworks on clothing. It's my tiny business and is managed by myself for now. I hope to grow this brand in the near future.
- The Design View: Where do you mostly get your inspirations from?
- Yoh Nagao: Photos from fashion magazine and advertisements. Sometimes I use my own experiences or episodes as a concept or theme.
- The Design View: Do you have any advice to aspiring designers?
- Yoh Nagao: Think yourself is special, the only one in the world.
- The Design View: What tools do you use for your work?
- Yoh Nagao: Pen, pencil, marker, acrylic and paper pieces to collage. For the digital works, I use Photoshop and Illustrator.

- Yoh Nagao: Haste makes waste. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
